About

Nunawana is an organization rooted in Andean wisdom, dedicated to creating spaces where people can reconnect with nature, their inner truth, and the wisdom of their ancestors. Through immersive experiences—whether in workshops, sacred journeys, or online classes—we guide participants in discovering a deeper connection to the Earth and themselves. Our mission is to nurture a global community that honors and supports one another while learning from the cycles of nature and the teachings of Andean Elders.

Our Story
Nunawana was founded by Vilma Pinedo, a native medicine woman from Cusco, and Francisco Victoria, an intercultural interpreter and Andean wisdom researcher. Together, they bring over 40 years of experience in the field, blending traditional knowledge with modern understanding.

Over the years, they have led numerous workshops across Europe, the US, and Latin America, working with thousands of people through sacred journeys, healing sessions, and online classes. Our work is born from listening to the pains and longings of modern Western culture and responding with the ancient, nurturing medicine of the Andes. We have seen how this wisdom brings comfort, truth, and connection to those who seek with an open heart.

Our Global Family
At Nunawana, we cultivate a global Ayllu, a family of diverse individuals connected across different times, spaces, and cultures. Together, we bridge the visible and invisible worlds, always with respect for our ancestors. In this sacred journey, we support each other as we grow, learn, and find healing.

Looking toward the future, we are filled with joy and excitement for what Pachamama—Mother Earth—will continue to teach us. As her students, we walk this path with patience and gratitude, eager to embrace the wisdom that unfolds with each step.

Our Phillosophy
Nature is Our Greatest Teacher
We honor the Earth as a living, supportive being, treating her with respect and gratitude in all that we do. By observing her cycles, patterns, and rhythms, we gain deeper insights into ourselves and the world around us.

A Conscious Bridge
Our role is to create a respectful and conscious connection between the wisdom of the Andes and seekers worldwide. Every culture carries unique gifts, and by coming together, we enrich each other’s journeys.

Sustainable Wisdom
In a world filled with mixed information, we prioritize the voices of Andean elders. Without imposing Western expectations or falling into dogma, we listen to their stories, learn from their traditions, and respect their rituals. Patience and openness are the keys to this path, as wisdom reveals itself at its own time and pace.

Aware Learning Process
The spiritual treasures of the Andes unfold organically. We prioritize direct experience over intellectual complexity, trusting that true understanding comes from being present, connected to the land, the elements, and the group’s collective energy.

Growing Together
Whether through online classes or sacred journeys, we gather in groups to share experiences and support each other. Our community is an essential part of the transformative process.

Reciprocity in Action
Andean communities hold a strong tradition of earning their way through contribution, not charity. In alignment with the value of Ayni, we work with local families during our trips and online programs, offering fair payment and mutual respect.

Why So Serious?
After all we’ve been through to arrive here, we embrace the Andean spirit of nurturing joy through celebration, laughter, and connection.
