Wisdom Healer
A Training in Ancient Wisdom for Contemporary Healers.
"Every time I get the chance to help other heal, I know Pachamama will help me heal in return" Vilma Pinedo.
"The wound is the place where the Light enters you." – Rumi
Welcome to the Wisdom Healer Training, a practical and transformative nine-month online program inspired by the ancestral healing practices of the Andean Hampeq Elders.
This program is for those who feel deeply committed to their personal growth, as well as for therapists who wish to bring the wisdom of Andean medicine into their work. You won’t be trained to become a Hampeq or a Shaman, since these sacred roles are passed through generations within native communities; but you will receive essential teachings inspired by the Andean spiritual traditions, and rituals, which you can apply in your own life and where appropriate in your therapeutic practice.
The training is guided by Vilma Pinedo, a medicine woman from a long lineage of H healers in Cusco, Peru, and Francisco Victoria, a cultural researcher. Together they offer both profound ancestral wisdom and grounded, practical approaches: Vilma shares direct Andean healing practices, while Francisco helps weave these teachings into a modern context.
Over the course of the program, you’ll learn how to create a sacred workspace, prepare and care for your healing tools, and strengthen your intuitive abilities, accessing the 12 steps organic Wisdom Healing Therapy . The training is ideal for practitioners and therapists who want to deepen the roots of their healing path, as well as for those who have been walking the Andean way for personal growth and are ready to explore more deeply. Whether you are new or experienced, this journey will help you anchor your healing work in a way that honors tradition while supporting your own evolution.
Who are the Hampeq?
The Hampeq are native wise women and men from the Andes mountains, dedicated to supporting and healing those in need within their communities. They generally belong to long-standing lineages that have preserved natural and cultural knowledge, passed down through generations.
Hampeq are viewed as intermediaries between humans and natural forces, invoking the guidance of the spirits of the land during healing rituals. They address ailments that affect not only physical health but also energetic and spiritual imbalances, with the ability to diagnose, treat, and heal a variety of illnesses.
Some traditional healers, like Vilma, have generously shared their knowledge with the Western world, understanding the patience required to teach an audience accustomed to academic learning. They trust that, over time, we will continue to heal, open to our intuition, and reconnect with our true nature, ultimately guiding others back to the healing ways of the Earth and its elements.
On a final note, while this training is inspired by the practice of the Hampeq, we, as Westerners, will not use this term to refer to anyone other than native Hampeq.
Instead we will learn the path of the "Wisdom Healer."

Who are Wisdom Healers?
As people who have undergone a personal journey of transformation, Wisdom Healers are practitioners open to conscious healing for themselves and facilitating it for others. At the core of their work is the understanding that they are not the source of healing but a channel for nature’s energy, allowing them to serve with humility, respect, and a deep connection to the Earth and all living beings.
In their practice, Wisdom Healers use a variety of organic techniques inspired by ancient methods, particularly those from the Andes Mountains and their cultures. These include working with elements like stones, plants, water, sound, and rituals, all designed to align the body and spirit with the rhythms of the Earth. The healer’s role is to help patients reconnect with these natural cycles, allowing them to release burdens and restore Kawsay, the life force that flows through all living beings. Healing is seen as a return to balance within the individual and their connection to their community and nature.
As both holistic practitioners and counselors, Wisdom Healers serve as a bridge that integrates ancient traditions with modern sensibilities, helping individuals rediscover their connection to nature, ancestors, and the world around them.
They understand that certain titles or even practices are reserved for those raised and live within specific cultural contexts. In doing so, they guide their patients toward healing and balance in a way that honors both the patient and the ancient traditions that form the foundation of the practice.

Your Instructors
Vilma Pinedo was born in the embrace of the Apus, the powerful mountain spirits of Cusco, Peru. Her initiation into the healer’s path began even before birth. While still in her mother’s womb, a lightning strike nearly took both their lives. In the Andes, such events are seen as a spiritual calling. From that moment, the elders of her community began to observe her closely, recognizing the signs of a future curandera.
Raised among her grandparents, Vilma absorbed ancestral healing wisdom through daily life and ritual. By the age of twelve, she was already assisting in ceremonies. She read the energy of coca leaves, gathered sacred plants, and offered intuitive support to those seeking help.
She comes from a lineage of respected healers from Cusco, carrying the teachings of ancestors such as Don Benito Qorihuaman, Don Melchor Deza, Don Francisco Sanchez Vargas, and María Sanchez. She also pursued university studies, learning new languages and engaging with different worldviews. This path allowed her to build bridges while remaining deeply rooted in her Andean identity.
Each movement in her work carries meaning. Whether preparing coca, lighting incense, or placing ritual elements, she acts with presence and care. Her teachings arise from experience, from observation, and from a commitment to the energy that sustains life.
For Vilma and her elders, healing is a way of seeing and relating to the world. A Hampeq, or healer, understands the flow of life and death and honors the forces that connect them.
Today, Vilma receives visitors to her land, offering a direct experience of Andean medicine. She also travels to other countries, where she shares her tradition with people seeking deeper connection. Her work supports a return to balance through the remembrance of ancestry, land, and sacred knowledge.
Healing is not only something we do. It is something we become. Through the warmth of our hands, we carry life. Through our prayers, we become the smoke that rises. Through the ritual cotton, we touch what longs to be made whole.
Francisco Victoria is an argentine researcher with a background in International Affairs. Over the past decade, he has focused on the spiritual and cultural practices of Andean communities. Rather than studying from a distance, he chose to live and learn alongside native healers. Through listening and presence, he entered the rhythms of these teachings.
As an Andean Wisdom Curator and co-founder of Nunawana, Francisco has helped organize retreats, sacred journeys, and courses in Europe, South and North America. His work supports real encounters between ancient wisdom and contemporary seekers.
He is drawn to the silence of high mountains, the stillness of lakes, and the presence of sacred sites. In those landscapes, he finds something that helps dissolve noise and reconnect the soul to what matters.
Francisco invites others to walk these paths, not only for learning, but for remembering. He offers a grounded approach to ancestral knowledge, shaped by his experience and respect for the elders who have guided him.
As he often says:
"One day, we might become mountains. So now, as humans, we walk them, feel their wisdom, and in doing so, we remember."
Testimonials from our Students
"I’ve been walking this healing path for decades, and receiving these teachings feels like receiving missing pieces. These new tools fit seamlessly into the Andean medicine I’ve devoted my life to. I love these new practices and I’m weaving them into the way I work, into my ceremonies, into my mesa, and they feel like they’ve always belonged.
I wholeheartedly recommend this training to anyone called to learn about the Andean tradition in a cherished, aligned, and heart-centered way. These teachings are alive, and you both hold them with integrity and true devotion."
Joanna, U.S.A
My experience with Vilma has been a profound one. While I have been studying the Andean path for a number of years, this experience has taken me much deeper and opened new spaces for me,
Providing a deeper embodied awareness of the Andean medicine and Pachamama that will help me in my endeavors.
As I am a shamanic healer and work with the Andean medicine, Vilmas perspective is very valuable because she has a direct connection to the Hampeq Lineage and works with these energies as a healer. I know without a doubt that she is a clear channel to this lineage and transmits a deep awareness of it.
Anthony, U.S.A.
What impresses me about this Wisdom Healer course is feeling securely held, while I take the responsibility to invest in myself, by doing the homework. I have found the exercises, to be simple yet moving. They shift my energy, or feeling states, in subtle ways. Ways that stop my over active
mind from distracting me from the feelings that want to come out and be seen.
Jan, Canada.
"How to put into words the energy behind Vilma’s teachings and Francisco’s guidance and how he is able to hold the space for the energy to flow. The teachings are giving me a compass to navigate all the changes that are taking place in the world as it is shifting into a global community instead of a regional one. I feel that they are healing to me and helping me to live the best life possible as I am traveling on this earth and in this body. The rituals help to bring the teachings from my head (knowledge) to my heart (experience). I feel blessed by the connection of our Allyu."
Cindy, U.S.A.
"My work with Vilma has been a doorway to deep transformation and healing. She has helped me uncover my inner wisdom and connect to the knowledge of my ancestors. Her work creates a space for self-discovery, revealing talents and opportunities for personal healing, which I now share with others. Francisco is also an integral part of this journey. His energy and wisdom provide a beautiful balance, holding space for Vilma with his masculine power, allowing her feminine energy to flourish even more".
Cecilla, Denmark
"I very much appreciate Vilma’s honest talks about the Peruvian culture and the realistic and raw background of the Andean living, that at times gets neglected or embellished with the efforts to make the teachings friendly oriented".
Listening to the stories she so lovely and eloquently shared with us awakened childhood memories of running barefoot in the mud while grandma cooked talking to the plants and fire. As a Peruvian (with curandera ascendants) living in the US, this experience and shared moments with all of you has been very revealing and has ignited the call of my seed to continue integrating the wisdom of the Andes and Peruvian path to my work as a therapist and into all the layers of my life".
